♥ After Soul Society won the war against Aizen and the arrancar, General Yamamoto sent certain members of the Gotei 13 to the United States to scout out information about Hollows, deaths, and shinigami in other countries. Rukia was among the soldiers deployed. Yamamoto let her choose between starting a 'business' for her human background or attending school with Renji. Rukia chose the former and, with the blessings of Byakuya, started the Kuchiki Bakery for Plebes in Brooklyn; a human world manifestation of the Kuchiki franchise in Rukongai.

Now, an undercover shinigami resident of New York City, Rukia watches out for Hollows, other shinigami, and dangers posed to the human world while making one mean Red Velvet Cake.
